Restoration Estimating & Invoicing Solutions LLC provides more than 13,000 line items with pricing provided by Craftsman Book Company in multiple categories. Besides the more than 13,000 line items provided by Craftsman Book Company, we have added nearly 300 water extraction and mold remediation line items with pricing to the price list. With over 30 years in the industry, we have found that these items were items that are frequently used.
All Craftsman Book Company and Restoration Estimating & Invoicing Solutions LLC line item pricing will be adjusted utilizing area modifiers associated with each jobs zip code in the USA and Canada. This area modifiers list is updated quarterly automatically. The price that you see in the standards tab or when you add line items will not show the price with the area modifier percentage added until you add the line items to your estimate. Worried about Insurance Adjusters not accepting Craftsman Book Company pricing or you just can’t find items that you use in the lists that we provide? We give you the ability to add your own line items to your database with pricing! This feature is found in the Standards Tab and they are called User Line Items. All User Line Items will fall under a category named after your company’s name. When you go to add a User Line Item, it will be under the Craftsman User Line Items List. Your User Line Item List or company name will appear as the first category in the category dropdown menu. Adding a new item is completed on the right side of the Standard User Line Items Management page. The category is automatically default to your company’s name. Enter in a description, for example “Plastic Box”. Next, you enter the unit of measure (UOM) from the dropdown menu. If these plastic boxes were sold individually, then the unit of measure would probably be “EA”, for each.
There are three different areas where you can add the cost for your new items:
Material Cost: If you are adding any item that will require sales tax, then this would be where you add the cost of the item. Sales tax will be calculated automatically on the estimate with the sales tax percentage that your company entered into their settings.
Labor Cost: If you are adding any item that is physical labor, then this would be where you add the cost of the item. After hours percentage will be calculated automatically on the estimate with the after hours percentage that your company entered into their settings.
Material Cost: If you are adding any item that is rental equipment, then this would be where you add the cost of the item. For example, adding air movers or dehumidifiers.
All prices added to the User Line Items List will not be affected by Area Modifiers, like the Craftsman Book Company List. The price you enter will be the price for your area.
When you have added all the required information for your new item, click on the add button. The User Line Items list is populated on the left side of the Standard User Line Items Management page.
There are three different actions that can be taken with these new items:
Edit Item: This has a pen and paper icon that you can click on. This action will bring up a dialogue box for that item. This is where you can make changes to your item.
Delete Item: This has a trash can icon that you can click on. This action will delete that item from your list.
Add To Favorite: This has a star icon that you can click on. This action will turn the star yellow and add it to your Favorites Line Items List. If you wish to remove the item from your Favorites Line Items List, click on the star to unselect the item.
The User Line Items is one of the most important features added to our program. This gives the subscriber the ability to add line items and pricing from any source available. We have subscribers that use only User Line Items that they have added to their data base.
That is how to add new items to your User Line Items List. If you have multiple users under your company’s account, the User Line Items will be available to all users. If you have any questions we provide a great tool through the use of training videos.
